The Thursday, July 7th edition of WWE SmackDown bounced back in viewership this week compared to last week’s disappointing numbers.
In what was the second-to-last episode of the show that will be taped on Tuesday night and air on Thursday night, as the show switches to airing live starting with the WWE Draft special kickoff edition of the show on July 19th, this week’s show averaged 2.241 million viewers, up from the average of 2.080 million viewers that last week’s show drew.
WWE SmackDown, which featured a main event of Chris Jericho vs. Sami Zayn, finished 15th on the night in terms of overall viewership. They finished tied for third in the coveted 18-49 year-old demographic, along with a soccer and ESPN, trailing only two episodes of “CNN Tonight.”
