— In a followup to a previous post about Dave Batista being considered as Ronda Rousey’s tag team partner at WrestleMania, a further report from Pro Wrestling Sheet suggests that this story is true but that the reason this never happened isn’t because Batista turned down the offer but rather WWE’s indifference.
— Batista and Triple H reportedly had “multiple conversations” about a return as Rousey’s partner before WWE locked onto Kurt Angle as the choice. However, the last discussion happened in January at which point Batista was under the strong belief that he would be wrestling at WrestleMania.
— What happened next is unclear, but apparently Triple H and WWE never contacted Batista again and before long, Angle was announced as being in the match. The original plan would have seen Batista not only in the tag match, but then stay with WWE and ultimately wrestle Triple H at WrestleMania 35.
