— WWE announced yesterday that injured star Kevin Owens is slated to be back on TV in approximately one month, which would imply that he would be back before WrestleMania and potentially be worked into a storyline leading to a match there. This would be contrary to previous reports which suggested that Owens was not going to be brought back until likely the Raw after WrestleMania.
— Mustafa Ali has reportedly been diagnosed with a concussion in addition to multiple other injuries. He actually wrestled over the weekend at house shows (which likely means he suffered the concussion on Sunday), but was pulled from the Monday live event and is doubtful for any action tomorrow at Smackdown, though the plan is for him to get re-evaluated before the show. The results of the concussion testing would then determine if Ali is going to be cleared for Sunday’s Elimination Chamber PPV and in the likely event that he isn’t, WWE will announce and work in a replacement. However, none of that has been decided yet as officials are awaiting the results of his testing tomorrow, which probably means that Smackdown’s script will probably not be finalized until late in the afternoon.
