Leicester slap £70m price tag on Mahrez

Leicester City will not accept a penny less than £70 million from Manchester City for Riyad Mahrez, according to the Daily Star.

The Algeria international reportedly handed in a transfer request on Tuesday as interest from the Etihad Stadium intensified. 

But the Foxes are standing firm, having already rejected a deal worth £50m for Mahrez.

Madrid offer €35m plus Kovacic for Paredes

Real Madrid have made a €35 million offer for Zenit St Petersburg star Leandro Paredes, says Argentine newspaper El Clarin.

The 23-year-old Argentine midfielder has attracted interest from Juventus since impressing in Russia after making a €27m move from Roma last summer 

Madrid have offered a big fee plus Mateo Kovacic in exchange for Paredes, but the former is apparently hesitant to move to Russia.

Griezmann tops Barca list 

Barcelona have made Antoine Griezmann their top transfer target for the summer as they grow concerned over the strength of their European rivals, Mundo Deportivo reports.

The Catalan side are already making plans for future transfer windows and dream of pairing France star Griezmann with Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho, but will have a tough time convincing Atletico Madrid to let him go.

But with the likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City set to continue adding to their squads for next season, Barca are hoping to lure more big names to Camp Nou.

Bayern enter Pulisic picture

Bayern Munich have identified Christian Pulisic as a potential replacement for Franck Ribery or Arjen Robben but face tough competition to sign him, Sport Bild reports.

The German side could lose one of their star wingers at the end of the season as their contracts are yet to be renewed, and see United States international Pulisic as a good option to boost their attack.

But Borussia Dortmund have already set a price of €45 million for the 19-year-old and do not want to sell him, but he has already attracted interest from Manchester United.

‘Auba-Giroud saga to be decided Wednesday’

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted the club will have to wait until transfer deadline day to find out what happens with Olivier Giroud and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Giroud may have played his final game with the Gunners as a Chelsea move beckons, with Aubameyang tipped to complete his own transfer from Borussia Dortmund.

“It’s a possibility. All that will be decided tomorrow morning,” Wenger told Sky Sports when asked if the Swansea game was Giroud’s farewell appearance for the club.

“We will inform you once that is more definite.”

Neymar said he is saddened by Lucas Moura’s imminent move to Tottenham, insisting his underused Brazilian counterpart should not be allowed to leave Paris Saint-Germain.

Lucas is poised to join Premier League side Tottenham – where former PSG full-back Serge Aurier calls home – due to a lack of playing time in Paris.

“I think it’s very unfair. He is my brother in football. I wish him the best. Whatever the destination, I hope he will score a lot and he will return to the Brazilian national team.”

Club America is once again in talks with AC Milan about signing Colombian forward Carlos Bacca, according to ESPN Mexico.

For the deal to work, according to the report, Las Aguilas would have to sell Bacca’s compatriot Darwin Quintero.

There have been talks about the winger joining MLS but nothing concrete as of Tuesday afternoon.  

Galaxy boss not ruling out Ibra move

LA Galaxy head coach Sigi Schmid has said that his club could possibly make a move for Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Newcastle want Mangala on loan

Newcastle United want to sign Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala on loan before the transfer deadline, reports the Daily Mail .

Mangala was a target for Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez last summer and could be allowed to leave City once the deal for Aymeric Laporte is completed.

David Beckham wants Zlatan Ibrahimovic to stay at Manchester United amid reported interest from the LA Galaxy.

“No matter how you talk about him, he’s one of the best players, one of the best people, and if he comes to this league at some point it would be great,” Beckham told ESPN . “But at the moment he’s a Manchester United player and I’m happy about that, and I want him to stay there.
