News on WWE Payback: Jericho, Owens, Balor, Bayley, Banks, More

It’s still unclear whether the United States title match at Payback between Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho will happen. WWE ran an injury angle with Jericho and it is public knowledge that he is leaving soon to tour with his band, but he could still be back for Payback, lose and then leave after that. The logical progression though with Finn Balor pinning Owens on Raw is to build towards a Balor/Owens match.
Seth Rollins taking on Samoa Joe at Payback is also a match very likely to happen. It was actually the plan from the moment Joe debuted on Raw before Rollins suffered his injury.
Bayley is expected to defend her Raw women’s title against either Sasha Banks or Nia Jax. It will be her first title defense in what is more or less her hometown and there are rumors that if Sasha is to turn heel, it will be happening at this event.
