Jeff Jarrett Denies “Broken” Agreement, Reby Claims Otherwise

Jeff Jarrett has once again claimed himself to be the rightful owner of Matt Hardy’s “Broken” gimmick that he utilized during his time in Impact Wrestling last year. The successful gimmick was something that was seen as unique and interesting, and the Hardys both became a hot commodity on the independent circuit because of it. On the most recent edition of Raw, Jeff and Matt Hardy teased the gimmick so strongly with Jeff even mentioning his “fade away and classify ourselves at obsolete” catchphrase on television. Some wrestling news sites have proclaimed that a deal between Anthem and The Hardys to use the characters could be coming soon, but that may not be the case.
In a teleconference call yesterday, Jeff Jarrett spoke with multiple people on the future of Global Force Wrestling. During the call, Jarrett claimed that no deal had been reached between Anthem and the Hardys and that Global Force is very much still claiming themselves to be the rightful owners of the characters. It seems like we constantly hear about how the Hardys and Anthem are close to reaching a deal only to later hear that they are actually nowhere close to a deal. However, the Hardys have been teasing it more on television for a reason and not just for the sake of doing so. Something has got to give in this feud eventually right?
Well, as you’d probably expect by now, Matt’s wife Reby had some choice words to say regarding the comments that Jarrett made. The most telling claim was that The Hardys and Anthem apparently did have a deal in place as recently as last week, but again, these are just her claims. She commented on Jarrett’s call with these statements and others as well:

I’m going to have to start “clarifying” things by recording phone calls, apparently. Everything out of this loser’s mouth is BS.
Why tho ? https://t.co/trSDkqyqUR

We had agreement terms as of LAST WEEK. Included non-disparagement clause to the tune of 5k every time I tweet something about TNA…

“Jeff Jarrett says…”
“Jeff Jarrett says…”
OK, I’m seeing what he says, but what does he DO ? Well, make Del Rio champion, for one… https://t.co/xLNrHMOhSQ

…I promise you, he knew exactly what was going on there. Meanwhile he’s worried about how WE’RE making $ ? #priorities #makeimpactgreatLOL

If Reby is telling the truth and there was some discussions of a deal that Jarrett is claiming no longer exists now, hopefully we’ll be able to receive more details on it very soon. In the meantime, it looks like those references to the “Broken Universe” that we saw on Raw this past week may be all that we’re going to get for a little while.
