NJPW G1 Climax 28 Night 18 Results (08/11): Tokyo, Japan

New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) recently held the eighteenth night of their G1 Climax 28 Event which emanated from The Legendary Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan. The show was highlighted by Tetsuya Naito taking on Zack Sabre jr. in the co-main event and The IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega taking on his Golden Lovers Partner Kota Ibushi in the main event. The show featured competitors from The B Block going at it and trying to secure their positions for Sunday’s finals. Below are the full results from the show:
Non-Tournament Matches:
– David Finlay & Michael Elgin def. Shota Umino & Toa Henare.

– Bullet Club OG (Bad Luck Fale & Tanga Loa) def. Bullet Club Elite (Chase Owens & Hangman Page).
– Bullet Club Elite (“The Villain” Marty Scurll, Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) def. CHAOS (“Switchblade” Jay White, SHO & YOH) by submission with the crossface chicken wing from Scurll on YOH after White refused to make the save and walked out.
– Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI & EVIL) def. Suzuki-gun (El Desperado & Minoru Suzuki) by pinfall with Everything is EVIL from EVIL on Desperado.
– Great Bash Heel (Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma) & Hiroshi Tanahashi def. CHAOS (Gedo, Kazuchika Okada & YOSHI-HASHI) by pinfall with the King Kong Knee Drop from Makabe on Gedo.

Tournament Matches (B Block):
– Toru Yano def. Tama Tonga by disqualification after hitting the Gun Stun on replacement referee Kenta Sato. After the match, NJPW President Harold Meij personally escorts The Bullet Club OGs to the back, which means that they are possibly suspended for three months after Tonga’s abuse of both Sato and original referee Marty Asami.
– Juice Robinson def. NEVER Openweight Champion Hirooki Goto by pinfall with Pulp Friction.

An announcement is aired over the PA that Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga & Tanga Loa have left the building.
– Tomohiro Ishii def. SANADA by pinfall with the vertical drop brainbuster.
– Zack Sabre Jr. def. Tetsuya Naito by pinfall with the Zack Driver.
– Kota Ibushi def. IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega by pinfall with Kamigoye, which means that he advances to tomorrow’s finals against Hiroshi Tanahashi.
