Prior to last night’s TakeOver: War Games broadcast, NXT taped two matches for Wednesday’s episode of television. Pete Dunne defended his WWE United Kingdom Championship against Johnny Gargano and Ruby Riot faced Sonya Deville:
– Ruby Riot defeated Sonya Deville
Riot won with a kick to the head.
– WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne defeated Johnny Gargano to retain his title
This was said to be a very good/excellent match. Dunne hit the Bitter End to retain.
Wednesday’s show will also feature video packages and post-match interviews from the fallout to TakeOver. The first set of TV tapings since War Games will take place at Full Sail University on November 29th. With that falling on a Wednesday, it’s not clear what will be airing on that week’s show.
Though it wasn’t on TV or in front of the crowd, Gargano and Shawn Michaels showed off the results of the “ab off” they had been building up on Twitter last night:
