Dean Ambrose Set to Miss WrestleMania 35? Schiavone Meets CM Punk

Unfortunately for fans of “The Lunaric Fringe,” it appears that Dean Ambrose’s kind is made up. The former world champion is still set to leave WWE and he will be finished with the company in just a few more weeks. WWE has confirmed that Ambrose won’t sign a new contract with the company and even acknowledged it on television recently. The belief is that he will be gone right after WrestleMania 35 comes to an end. When he, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins competed at Fastlane back in February, it was advertised as the final appearance for The Shield. Ambrose has continued to appear in segments with Reigns and Ambrose on Raw, but it sounds like his last WWE appearance may have already taken place.
New reports online claim that Ambrose is likely already done with his commitments with WWE and is waiting for his contract to expire now. According to Cageside Seats, Ambrose is not set to make any more appearances on Raw and probably won’t be competing at WrestleMania 35 either. Despite it being reported in the past that Roman Reigns and others were supposedly pushing for Ambrose to sign a new WWE deal, there has not been any news regarding him signing a new deal with the company. There is also no word on what Ambrose will be doing now that his long tenure in WWE has come to an end. Meanwhile, Ambrose’s wife, Raw announcer Renee Young, is said to be staying with the company for the tome being.
As reported yesterday, the C2E2 expo in Chicago, Illinois had a huge wrestling presence. Who better to represent pro wrestling in Chicago than CM Punk? While the former world champion was around, he and former WCW announcer Tony Schiavone met each other. Schiavone was in town for a collab podcast show between What Happened When and Eric Bischoff’s 83 Weeks shows. Schiavone shared a photo of himself meeting the former wrestler while he was at C2E2. In addition to Cornette, Punk also hung out with Elite members Marty Scurll, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks. Though it’s been a while since he last fought in the octagon, the belief is that Punk is currently training for his next MMA fight.

Thanks to everyone I got to meet this past weekend at @c2e2. All the fans were tremendous. It won’t be my last Comic Con. And you never know who you will see @CMPunk pic.twitter.com/oi04SSGJk9
