Brock Lesnar has re-signed with WWE, which was expected considering he retained the WWE Universe Title in a surprise outcome of last night’s WrestleMania 34 main event. It had been reported that Lesnar’s final match under his prior contract was WrestleMania 34.

WWE does not specify how many more matches Lesnar is signed for. It could be just two matches, or it could be a longer-term contract. Dana White said last week Lesnar is returning to UFC, but didn’t put a timeline on it.

Lesnar will face Roman Reigns in a rematch in presumably a more friendly setting – Apr. 27 in Saudi Arabia – where Reigns could win the WWE Title, although it’s also possible that someone else will be positioned for that victory at a later date, such as Daniel Bryan or Braun Strowman.

WWE’s press release, issued to PWTorch minutes ago, follows:

STAMFORD, Conn., April 9, 2018 – WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon announced today that Brock Lesnar has re-signed with WWE. Lesnar’s next appearance is scheduled for the Greatest Royal Rumble event, where he will compete against Roman Reigns in a Steel Cage Universal Championship match at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Friday, April 27 at 7:00 p.m. AST.

The Greatest Royal Rumble will stream live on WWE Network and be available on pay-per-view outside of the Middle East with regional broadcast information forthcoming.

The event will also feature the first-ever 50-man Greatest Royal Rumble match, John Cena™ vs. Triple H™ and six other championship matches.
