ST. LOUIS, MO — Six Flags St. Louis is pitting six contestants against each other for $300 and season tickets to the park. To win, they just have to spend 30 hours in a coffin. Interested? If so, you can bring a friend. At least while the park is open. At night, you’re on your own.
The “Coffin Challenge” competition is part of the park’s 30th anniversary celebration of “Fright Fest,” their annual Halloween event.
The winner of the challenge will get two 2019 gold season passes, VIP haunted house passes, a ticket for two to ride the park’s “Freak Train” — oh, and the coffin. It’s handcrafted.
“Anyone who gets out of their coffin for any reason, with the exception of the designated bathroom breaks, will be out of the contest,” the park says online. “If more than one participant is remaining after 30 hours, there will be a random drawing for the $300. All participants remaining will receive the Season Passes and Fright Fest package.”

To be honest, $300 for 30 hours in a coffin is just barely above minimum wage, and you can get a gold season pass for about 57 bucks. But, if you’re interested, you can register here by October 3. Contestants will be chosen on October 4.
