Hugo Lloris admits Mauricio Pochettino’s exit from Tottenham hit him hard but he’s fully behind new boss Jose Mourinho.
The France international made 229 appearances under Pochettino at Tottenham over a five-year period.
Pochettino was sacked earlier this season amid a poor run of form and was replaced by former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.
“It’s been hard,” Lloris told L’Equipe (via Sport Witness).
“It’s not nice to see people you really like leaving, and with whom you’re connected.
“But we also know that that’s part of football and you don’t have a say as a player, you have to put yourself immediately at the service of the new coach.
“After five and a half years together, we understood each other with our eyes closed. Now you have to get to know each other. But with top-level people, it happens quickly.”
Spurs have lost three of their last five matches in the Premier League under Mourinho with their latest defeat coming to league leaders Liverpool.
