Madrid turn to Lewy ahead of Kane

Real Madrid are considering moving for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski instead of Tottenham’s Harry Kane, according to the Independent

Los Blancos know Spurs are likely to play hardball over any move for Kane, so Lewandowski could be seen as a more reasonable target. 

The Polish striker recently changed agents to Pini Zahavi and could look to take advantage of his last chance for a big move, with his 30th birthday coming up in August.

Wales boss Ryan Giggs wants Aaron Ramsey to decide his future as soon as possible, amid protracted talks over a new Arsenal contract.

The 27-year-old’s deal expires at the end of next season but discussions over an extension have seemingly stalled.

There are reports Ramsey is keen for a pay rise that would put him in the same bracket as Arsenal’s highest earners, including Mesut Ozil and January signings Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Juventus set Can deadline

Juventus will meet Emre Can’s representatives this week and won’t wait more than a week for the German to sign, reports Gazzetta dello Sport.

Can’s contract will expire at the end of the season and he has been strongly linked with a move to the Old Lady with a Liverpool renewal seeming unlikely. 

But the Serie A side’s patience has apparently reached its conclusion, with several Premier League sides hoping to snap Can up should a move to Italy fall through.  

Ceballos allowed to join Liverpool on loan

Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos will be allowed to join Liverpool on an initial loan with a purchase option, reports Diario Gol.

The 21-year-old joined Madrid last summer but has been used sparingly, and Jurgen Klopp has asked the Liverpool board to sign the midfielder.

Chelsea want Casemiro in Hazard deal

Chelsea are willing to sell Eden Hazard to Real Madrid if Casemiro is sent to London as part of the deal, according to Don Balon.

It wouldn’t be a straight swap, of course, with the report stating the Blues would also want €100 million in addition to the Brazilian central midfielder.

Tottenham star Harry Kane could walk into any team in Europe, according to Brazil great Ronaldinho.

Representatives for Anthony Martial and Marcos Rojo met with the club in December, but have yet to be offered fresh terms. 

Additionally, Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, Luke Shaw, Ashley Young and Daley Blind all have deals set to expire in 2019.

Hamburg want to quadruple Arp’s wages

Hamburg want to increase Jann-Fiete Arp’s wages from €500,000 per year to €2 million in an effort to convince him to stay, according to the Hamburger Morgenpost.

The 18-year-old has attracted plenty of suitors across Europe, including Chelsea, and Hamburg know they must offer a new deal to maintain any hope of keeping the forward. 

But HSV are also staring down the real possibility of relegation, which would almost certainly end Arp’s time at the club.
