Manchester United target Arturo Vidal’s agent has reportedly traveled to Europe for crunch transfer talks.
The Chile international – who is not a regular started with Barcelona – is expected to leave the club this month, with Inter Milan also keen on landing the midfielder.
With Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay sidelined through injury, United have just Fred, Nemanja Matic, Andreas Pereira and James Garner as options for the centre of midfield.
United have been linked with Vidal in the past, with Louis van Gaal a huge admirer, and Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera claim the Red Devils are back in the mix and that Vidal’s agent, Fernando Felicevich, has traveled to Europe for talks.
But Inter Milan appear to be favourites when it comes to any potential transfer.
Vidal previously played under Inter boss Antonio Conte at Juventus, with the duo helping them dominate Italian football, and a reunion will be tempting for both parties.
But Inter are reportedly reluctant to meet Barcelona’s €20million asking price, opening the door for United.
