Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hinted that Manchester United will pursue the signing of Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Braut Haaland.
The Norwegian is one of the brightest prospects in Europe, having scored eight Champions League goals and 16 Austrian Bundesliga goals so far this season.
Gossip on Wednesday suggested that Man Utd will bring Haaland to Old Trafford for £76m in January and loan him back to the Austrian club until the end of the season.
United have been linked with Haaland for months and there have been rumours that the 19-year-old needs reassurances over Solskjaer’s future if he chooses the Red Devils.
“He is a player I like,” Solskjaer told Norwegian television channel Viasport.

“We are looking for good players all the time.
“Erling has had a good development, so he has to develop further wherever he decides. I don’t need to talk so much about him, but we as a team always look for players who can complement the others we have, and then we see what we end up with.”
