Frank Lampard reveals two qualities lacking in Chelsea loss

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard admitted his side “need to be better” after the Blues lost 1-0 at home to Bournemouth.

The home side looked off the pace and were unable to break down a stubborn Bournemouth side who sat deep and hit Chelsea on the break.

And Dan Gosling’s late winner condemned Lampard’s side to a fourth defeat in their last five Premier League games, a run of form the Chelsea boss admits is “not good enough”.

He said: “It’s a home loss. Not good enough from us which is the story at the minute. We need to be better.

“We needed more urgency and we have to make it more difficult for them.

“Top teams show consistency and that’s what we’re striving for. There’s a lot of work to do.”
