Delhi Assistant Commissioner Dies After Jumping Off Police Headquarters Building, Suicide Suspected

A Delhi Police Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) rank officer allegedly committed suicide at Delhi Police Headquarter (PHQ) on Thursday. The officer has been identified as 55-year-old Prem Ballabh who jumped off the headquarters at Indraprastha Marg.

Ballabh was posted in crime and traffic unit of Delhi Police.

Police is investigating the matter and this is not first high rank officer who has committed suicide. Earlier in May this year, the senior Maharashtra police officer Himanshu Roy, involved in many high-profile investigations, committed suicide by shooting self at his home in Mumbai. He had cancer.
