Renault to warm up French fans with F1 street demo

French F1 fans will have an opportunity to sample the sights and sounds of F1 before next summer’s French Grand Prix at Paul Ricard.

Renault will demo cars from the past and modern era of F1 during a street demo set to take place on the French Riviera, in the city of Nice, on Sunday March 11.

Miami and Hanoi F1 races look likely, and Argentina wants back in!

Nico H├╝lkenberg will drive the 2012 Renault V8 F1 car while four-times Formula One World Champion Alain Prost will get behind the wheel of his 1983 Renault RE40 V6 turbo for a few runs up and down the city’s famous ‘Promenade des Anglais’.

The F1 street demo will actually serve as a support event to the iconic cycling race Paris-Nice, the last stage of which arrives in Nice on March 11.

Formula 1 will return to France after an absence of 10 years this year, with the event taking place at the Circuit Paul Ricard on 24 June.
