Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has reportedly handed in a transfer request in order to try and force a move to Bayern Munich.
The German club have submitted a number of bids for the 18-year-old throughout January, and with the transfer window closing on Thursday, Hudson-Odoi now appears keen to make the switch to the Bundesliga.
That would see him follow in the footsteps of fellow youngsters Reiss Nelson and Jadon Sancho, who have been impressive for Hoffenheim and table-topping Borussia Dortmund since joining from Arsenal (on loan) and Manchester City respectively.
Despite his lack of first-team football, Bayern seem to see Hudson-Odoi as a viable long-term successor to the Arjen Robben, who also once plied his trade at Stamford Bridge and who will be leaving Bayern in the summer. He’s also not been shy about praising Hudson-Odoi.
