With rumours circulating that the Bernabeu side could one day move for the Brazil ace, their hierarchy have done little to quell those
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has said Neymar would have a better chance of winning the Ballon d’Or if he moved to the Santiago Bernabeu.
The former Barcelona star completed a world record transfer to Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona in the summer for €222 million, with reports suggesting the Brazilian’s desire was to get out of the shadow of Lionel Messi and give him the chance to win the individual accolade.
Subsequently, there has been talk that he could one day move to Real Madrid and, while that has been rebuffed by the player’s entourage, Perez believes that would be beneficial for the 25-year-old if that is indeed his burning desire.

Speaking after seeing Blancos star Cristiano Ronaldo lift his fifth title on Thursday, he said: “Being in Madrid would make it easier to win the Ballon d’Or.
“Real Madrid is a club which gives all you need as a big player, everyone knows that I already wanted to sign him at one point.”
Perez, meanwhile, paid homage to Ronaldo, hailing the Portuguese as one of the greatest ever.
“I think that Cristiano Ronaldo is the heir to Alfredo Di Stefano, it’s an honour to count on a player as good as him,” he said.
“He lives for football, he wants to be the best of all time and he does it not only with his talent but with his work, he’s a role model.”
