James Ellsworth Confirms WWE Release Following Smackdown ‘Firing’

After being “fired” by General Manager Paige on WWE Smackdown this week, James Ellsworth took to Twitter and released a lengthy statement, confirming he indeed finished with WWE for the time being.

As we previously reported, Ellsworth’s return to WWE was never meant to be longterm, as he did not sign a deal with WWE upon returning at Money in the Bank, and was working on a per appearance basis.

Below is Ellsworth’s full statement from Twitter, along with a new #RehireEllsworth campaign that he is asking fans to use:

Two years ago today I stepped in the ring with @BraunStrowman on #RAW and my life since then has changed!
