Man Utd lodge £25m Alexis bid

Manchester United have lodged a £25 million bid for Alexis Sanchez as they seek to pip arch-rivals Manchester City to the Arsenal forward, reports The Guardian.

Pep Guardiola is said to have a £20m offer on the table for a player who is set to be out of contract at the end of the season.

Jose Mourinho has now countered that approach, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan offered to Arsenal in an effort to help sweeten the deal.

Coquelin completes Valencia move

Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin has completed his move to Valencia after the Spanish side confirmed an agreement between the two clubs over a transfer fee had been reached.

The deal is expected to be worth £12 million. The former France Under-21 international, meanwhile, has signed a deal that will run until 2022.

Monaco head coach Leonardo Jardim has said that his club do not expect to sell attacker Thomas Lemar this January, but he confessed that if an astronomical offer came their way, they would be in no position to decline it.

The Brazilian is reportedly poised to join Inter through the rest of the season, with the Serie A side hoping to secure an option to buy that’s below €20 million.

Crystal Palace have agreed a fee for West Ham forward Diafra Sakho, according to Sky Sports.

The fee reportedly is between £10 million and £12 million as the Senegal international prepares to undergo a medical with Palace.

Spurs to challenge Man Utd over Lucas

Tottenham could make a January move for PSG winger Lucas Moura, according to Le 10 Sport.

Manchester United have also been linked with the Brazil international, but while PSG are looking to sell him for a fee in the region of €40 million, Spurs will only offer loan terms.

Liverpool and Marseille to battle over Strootman?

Liverpool and Marseille are both weighing up the possibility of signing Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman, according to Leggo.

The midfielder is set to depart the Italian capital this month and is expected to command a fee of €35 million, which is €10m short of his release clause. 

Roma need to sell the Dutch international to meet Financial Fair Play (FFP) obligations. 

Keita could join Liverpool in January

Naby Keita’s move to Liverpool could happen in January rather than at the end of the season.

Coutinho’s £142 million transfer to Barcelona has left the Reds short in midfield and Jurgen Klopp’s side are looking at paying extra for the Guinean in order to bring forward his switch to Anfield.

Tottenham have opened talks with Dele Alli over a new contract amid links with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, reports the Mirror .

Alli, 21, is alongside fellow Spur Harry Kane as one of the hottest prospects in world football. 

And Spurs are keen to tie him down with a new deal worth an estimated £100,000-a-week to stave off suitors.

Juve consider Darmian bid

Juventus are considering a bid for Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian in order to shore up the side at full-back, claims the  Sun .

The Italians could lose Alex Sandro to Chelsea, while Stephan Lichtsteiner is also likely to leave at the end of the season. 

That would leave Juve short of options out wide, and out-of-favour Darmian would add valuable depth in defence.

Man City hold Evans talks

Manchester City have held talks with ex-United defender Jonny Evans over a move to the Etihad Stadium, reports the  Daily Mail .

Evans, 30, has 18 months remaining on his West Bromwich Albion contract and has also aroused interest from Arsenal this window. 

He would be available for around £20 million, while City’s interest in Real Sociedad defender Inigo Martinez has cooled.

Barca name price for Inter target Deulofeu

Barcelona have told Inter they must pay between €18-20 million for Gerard Deulofeu, reports Sport 

The winger has failed to impress since returning to Camp Nou, while the signing of Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele’s return threaten to leave him in the cold. 

He is still highly considered in Serie A, however, and has emerged as a top target for Inter after starring for rivals Milan in 2017.

Jurgen Klopp’s refusal to sell Philippe Coutinho over the summer to Barcelona directly helped former club Dortmund with their own sale, according to Raphael Honigstein on the Totally Football Show

The Liverpool boss reportedly informed Dortmund there was no way he would sell Coutinho, in turn aiding the Germans in their negotiations over Ousmane Dembele.
