Tonight’s WWE SmackDown Live saw the main roster debut of Kairi Sane take place as she officially joined Team Blue, teaming up with Asuka.
The two former NXT Women’s Champions were brought together by Paige, who will be managing the duo moving forward, and two people who have played a big role in Sane’s WWE career to this point reacted to her main roster debut.
Firstly, her best friend and former tag team partner, Io Shirai, who congratulated Sane on her new adventure, whishing her luck. Shirai stated that Kairi will remain her best friend and that she can’t wait to reunite the Sky Pirates one day.
Kairi, Congratulations on your new adventure!
Best of luck on your journey!!
You will remain my best friend forever.
I’ll continue my own voyage, too!
I can’t wait to reunite the Sky Pirates one day!

Shirai wasn’t the only person to comment on her move though, with Sane’s long-term rival, Shayna Baszler also giving her thoughts, which were slightly less positive, as you would expect from the current NXT Women’s Champion.
Baszler simply stated, “good riddance,” adding that she doesn’t want Sane to show up in NXT tomorrow.
Good riddance. Don’t show up tomorrow.
