Randy Orton and The Revival are a match made in heaven.
“No Flips, Just Fists” has been the motto of the former tag team champions since their arrival on the NXT brand, and that’s more or less a motto that “The Viper” has lived by over the course of his 20-year career. In fact, if you consider his propensity for delivering devastating RKOs out of nowhere, you might say Orton is the greatest anti-air Superstar in WWE history!
The potential partnership between these three old school-style stars kicked off last Tuesday on Smackdown Live, when The Revival’s rivalry with The New Day spilled into Orton’s decade-old battle with WWE Champion Kofi Kingston.
Not only did the trio successfully take down The New Day in a six-man tag team match on the blue brand, but they left them in the dirt in a post-match attack, which set up a return match between The Revival, Xavier Woods and Big E this Monday night on Raw.
The match barely got off the ground before Orton came flying out of nowhere, kicking off another wild brawl. He then led The Revival in yet another beat down on The New Day, including Kofi Kingston after he sprinted to the ring and attempted to make the save. They even hit a Super RKO combo together, and posed on the turnbuckles as if they were one cohesive unit after their “victory”.
Could we be looking at WWE’s newest faction in the making?
