Taz Fires Back At Corey Graves: “I Don’t Appreciate Being The Brunt Of A Joke”

After Corey Graves tried to make a joke at the expense of wrestling legend Taz, he quickly fired back on social media, blasting the WWE announcer.

Graves shared an image of Samoa Joe and Vic Joseph stating that they were the modern-day Taz and Michael Cole, but the former ECW star didn’t appreciate the comments.

Taz originally stated that he wishes the duo the best of luck, but that they can’t be compared yet as he and Cole battled for every opportunity they got as a team, paying their dues.

Gee whiz, new & "IMPROVED"? I wish them the best but luck! But, if they are a duo after YEARS of shows than its a fair comparison. @MichaelCole & I BATTLED for every opportunity as a team. #DuesPaid https://t.co/t3A2f6zLzN

A fan noted that it could have been a joke, which Graves has been doing plenty of lately on Twitter. But Taz made it clear that jokes aren’t funny when they’re pulled on someone who no longer works for the company.

He made it clear that if was a joke, he is not in on it and he doesn’t appreciate being the brunt of a joke by Corey.

Jokes aren't funny when pulled on someone who doesn't work there anymore…therefore if its joke than I'm NOT in on it. I dont appreciate being the brunt of a joke from a current announcer especially with the big social media following of @WWEGraves – I'm "out here", he's not. https://t.co/wG1voqmikX

Taz then responded to another tweet where he stated that Graves just wants content for his podcast. He stated that Graves has every possible resource, but he has to try become a hot take controversial person instead.

Nah, he wants content for the podcast WWE handed him. Meanwhile, @WWEGraves has every resource possible from WWE to succeed with the pod but he has try to become a hot take controversial outspoken shock jock podcaster “try hard” …brother please. 🙄 https://t.co/XOstqsmV2Y
